Along The Silk Road (part one of two)

Martin’s trip starts in Istanbul with its beautiful mosques and ceremonial parade of the old military in their colorful uniforms. He takes us to Ashkhabad, Turkmenistan, a surprisingly modern city. The highlights are women in their colorful local costumes in the big open market. On our travels to Bukhara, Uzbekistan, we will see a man on a camel herding goats. Martin says that the handicrafts in all four countries we visit are of exquisite beauty.
